Our clay-base is coarse offwhites with occasional terracottish tints and effects. These au-naturals cannot be fully-regulated during firing-processes, but isn’t that the warm beauty of handmade products? No additional colours are necessary because the ever-changing natural tones of the clay-base accentuate the little nooks, mounds, carvings and crevices of each item. These au-naturels can also turn brassy & copperish with additional colour treatments, and this production technique that we’ve termed “coppergold” has been our trademark the past 2-decades, and flatteringly has been tried to be copied by other producers over the years without much success.
